Both artists teamed up with Philips for the centres, which can be loaded with 1500 CDs and stream music wirelessly through the house, and will be up for auction on eBay until next Friday. Cocker and Michael are following in the footsteps of Moby, Anastacia, Duran Duran and Kaiser Chiefs to raise money for Nordoff Robbins. Музыкант врезался на машине в фотомагазин сети Snappy Snaps неподалеку от своего дома на севере Лондона. Инцидент произошел около четырех утра в минувшее воскресенье, 4 июля. В результате столкновения была повреждена витрина магазина. Сам Джордж Майкл не пострадал. Он дождался прибытия полиции на месте ДТП, после чего был препровожден в участок, где прошел тест на наличие в крови алкоголя или наркотиков. Затем певца отпустили под залог, обязав явиться через месяц для разбирательства. За последние шесть лет Майкла задерживают за нарушение правил дорожного движения уже в седьмой раз. Лишь недавно истек наложенный на певца полицией двухлетний запрет на вождение транспортного средства.

Michael's arrest is the latest in a series of brushes with the law, which began in 1998 for "engaging in a lewd act" with an undercover police officer in a Beverley Hills toilet. Michael was also arrested in 2006 for possession of marijuana, and again the following year after being found at the wheel of his car "unfit to drive through drugs". He pleaded guilty to the 2007 charge and received a two-year driving ban. In 2008, Michael was again arrested in a public toilet near Hampstead Heath and cautioned by police for possession of a controlled substance. Following the 2008 arrest, Michael said: "I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them." На мой взгляд. Что-то говорить бесполезно - и мы, и все, и он в том числе все это прекрасно знает. Чего нельзя и чего не надо. Но делает это с завидным постоянством. Как говаривал мой тренер по баскетболу, "постоянство - признак мастерства" не знаю.. Просто он такой - и другим, наверное, никогда уже не будет. Он этого и не скрывает. И глупо кричать сейчас в воздух "шо ж ты творишь, паразит???", когда он сказал совсем недавно, что даже не считает это уже недостатком - "просто я такой, какой есть". Так что... либо принять его таким (и продолжать молиться), либо... вариантов я не вижу. Лично для себя. ПыСы: спасибо Гаду... все ж таки там кто-то есть...
